I’ll never understand using the word “females” instead of women. “But that’s what we are!” Yes but no one ever calls men males. Seems to be an insult

I feel like simply saying “don’t call me that please, I don’t like it” should suffice as an explanation. if you respect someone then you respect them regardless of your understanding. and it’s not that hard to make the change, speaking from experience.

I use all of those terms in plenty of areas where they are applicable. It’s insane when my girls get irritated with men at the word female when we’re talking about something where woman doesn’t fit or girl might be demeaning. Most of you give it implications it doesn’t have. Maybe I’m just an autistic woman.

Implications it doesn’t have? Oftentimes, it is used to be demeaning or an insult. I’m not sure how old you are but a lot of the younger generation (of boys, typically) uses the word whereas they call men are never called men. It’s just strange to me

It’s naturally a completely sterile word. It’s mostly used in such a way. I’m not letting the fact that some rude boys misuse it to alter the fact it’s a completely normal word

Completely normal in what sense? Medically + scientifically? Yes. But casually, like when having a conversation with or even referring to a friend, family member or even partner? It’s strange

also, if they can’t stop calling women “females” after being asked to stop, I don’t trust them to respect me being trans, so those guys can fuck themselves
