I went from 179 to 149 since last November!! Track your calories, go in a calorie deficit but not TOO much. Try to work out 3-4 times a week as dreadful as it may be. Focus on cardio if your goal is to target fat. I’d say look up some good incline hour long walks. They SUCK, but they’re great and effective. Stay away from inflammatory foods as well.

I’ve lost 30lbs due to leaving a crap relationship and STRESSS. I’m happy I lost weight but not happy about the way it happened

Start lifting! Studies show that muscle burns more calories than cardio even after working out (and you can stop before getting “too bulky”)

make sure you dont have any underlying health concerns that made you gain weight in the first place, bc some of these hacks will actually make it worse

Tons of water, eat enough at meals, lots of veggies/lean proteins and whole grains (keeps you full longer), small calorie deficit so you’ll stick to it. Exercise, but don’t expect that to get rid of the weight by itself. It’s 80% diet.

I lost 50 lbs last year. Calorie deficit, not eating out as much, only eat when you’re hungry, intermittent fasting, exercise

The elliptical was a godsend for me. I just watch greys anatomy while I push for an hour. I also track my calories with an app called lose it, it’s really helpful. It doesn’t “punish” you for eating different foods, and it can help you with nutrition tracking too if you care abt that.

strength training is non negotiable because if you’re not using your muscles your body will eat them before it eats your fat

Don’t cut out good fats. Fat is what makes you feel full so you don’t binge later. Just calorie count. And walk tf out of a treadmill.

Find your base metabolic rate, hit a 500 calorie deficit everyday, and 3500 for the week. 3500 calories= 1lb of fat. Easier said than done but that’s the science

as long as you are healthy please do not worry about weight! i know most of these replies are hacks and weightloss tips or whatever but genuinely please do not stress about numbers or the mirror because both are genuinely killer. go to the gym and work out to build up your confidence and find strength in places you didn't think you had it, don't stress about weight bc it genuinely does not matter as long as u are healthy 🫶🫶 take care of yourself physically *and* mentally babes

What kinds of inflammatory foods did you cut out? 🙏🏻

Added sugars and high sugar foods like soda candy sweetened drinks pastries with a lot of sugar, eating a lot of heavily refined carbs and processed grains like having multiple of them in one day like bagels pasta white bread (a little is always okay!), just heavily processed things 24/7 like constantly going to fast food places to eat, microwaved snacks like popcorn, frozen meals with weirdly high sodium levels, it’s a WHOLE list that I could go on and on about. A big part of it is discipline!!

I had it covered for a month and it fixed all of my issues with cravings and helped me drop a lot of weight it took a year to put back on. I’ve been trying desperately to get back on it. 🫠

Green tea tastes really nice, but it’s not going to burn fat or anything. Still, nice thing to sip on if you want a hot drink/feel bored.

green tea boosts your metabolic rate and enhances fat oxidation. it was a huge factor in how i was able to drop 50 pounds

This is terrible advice that will put your body in starvation mode. DO NOT DO THIS. After about 8-12 hours of fasting your body starts using the glycogen stores in your liver then moves onto your muscles because they have more nutrients than fat
