I’m gonna rant a little and feel free to ask questions. I live with three other roommates and a while back our sink was filled with dishes. I don’t eat off of any plates or mugs we use. If I do I wash it immediately. (Rest of rant below)

So in short, the guy who never does, the dishes makes a claim that everyone should be doing their own dishes, but it’s OK to leave others dishes from home, sitting around, staining and smelling horrible for as long as you’d like…

A roommate got mad about the dishes being piled up and sitting there for over two weeks. He proceeded to bite the bullet and wash them himself. After he was done washing them, he made a comment saying that from now on anyone who uses a dish washes their own dishes, guests included. It was just him and I in the room when he said that. He then turned around, looked at me and said that goes for you as well.

Mind you, like I stated before I wash all of my own dishes after using them. It is very rare when I don’t and usually is only when I’m in a rush, but then they get washed later that night or the next morning. On top of that I have not only seen him throw dishes, cups, and pots into the sink and leave them there for days, but some of the pots and pans that he leaves sitting around our ones that I brought from home to our living space.
