Anyone else’s careless roommate infest the whole apartment with fleas and is barely putting in any effort to prevent another infestation?

So as far as I can tell flea prevention methods are typically less than $100 and last 1-3 months depending on the medication and application method. If someone can’t afford that they shouldn’t be getting a pet prone to fleas or just a pet in general.

we’ve probably spent about $80 so far, but then housing finally listened to us and called pest control, which will be a fat fine to her. Thing is, if she doesn’t vacuum and wash her things like we keep telling her, they will come right back🙃. Cat is gone but she never bothered to buy flea shampoo (and she mistreated that poor cat) and has “no money” yet spends it on unnecessary things

Ah the classic “I have no money” excuse.
