AITA for not cleaning the common space at all? I literally (not being dramatic) never use it. If I’m home I’m in my room. If I use a dish I immediately clean it and put it back, I’ll take out the trash if I see it’s full but it isn’t even my trash.

Honestly no, and im big on my roommates not helping out but if they even did what youre doing id be happy. And they use tf outta the common areas. At the end of the day, i like to live clean and they dont so i clean and they dont. I dont enjoy it but its life. Preparing me for housewife ig

I wouldn’t call you an asshole, but I’m the opposite of this. I use the kitchen to cook obv, but I hate staying in the common spaces. My rm is always in them but I never see them really clean anything. I mop, clean the fridge, microwave, oven, stuff you don’t think about but get every once in a while. And I bought bulk cleaning supplies. Sometimes I have to clean up after them. It’s just annoying, and shows me they have no care/responsibility for the home they pay for too

No. My philosophy is if I’m not the main one using it, I shouldn’t be the main one cleaning. I clean up after myself as I go but I’m not doing a deep clean for a shared area that I rarely use.
