I always went by the rule of if they’re there I shouldn’t know they are. Meaning yes let me know they’ll be in the space but I shouldn’t notice them or be disrupted by them if that makes sense. Usually easier if they have their own room so if it’s shared then it’s really up to the other persons comfort bc they signed up for one roommate not two ya know

if there long distance and it has been communicated and they are respecting shared space, then i feel like that is one of the only exceptions, bc just go home if you live close like????

Idk thats kinda weird to me. Essentially treating it like their own house when you might not even know them/be close to them and the apartment is shared.. idk thats strange to me. Like just get your own place together atp

I just find it odd, especially in college relationships where both people live close together. I live in a college town not even 15 miles wide, so if a BF is there it’s when he lives far and she’s at work or something. But if your bf lives 5 minutes away he better be going home 😭

Idk if yall are best friends or close it makes more sense, but idk it seems weird to let a stranger in your roommate’s terms to be basically living there while youre gone lol

I had a roommate who would have him over all the time, she didn’t like one of his roommates so she would make him stay so he wasn’t around him 😭 like girlllll. I got her kicked out because it was a lease violation the amount he was over
