Nah just tell her they can’t expect you to be quiet all day just because their sleep schedule is messed up. They can fix said schedule or get ear plugs if they want to sleep that late

um i can understand being quiet maybe till 11am or so but like 3? and complaining? like bruh, thats not cool, saying you have to be quiet for basically the entire day lol

3pm is insane. I’ve had conversations with a roommate before about being a little quieter as they were leaving for their first class in the morning bc I had rehearsals until 11pm and wasn’t sleeping enough. But 3PM? Expecting your roommate to come back from class and still be quiet because you slept the entire day is completely unreasonable.

Be mindful of their schedule too the room doesn’t revolve around you only

Yeah no normal noise past 9am is fair game. It’s on the roommate past that point to adapt if they want to sleep

And even then 11 is a “we talked about this” time on weekdays.

Why don’t you be a friend instead of a bully

Dude the compromise here is that the roommate gets ear plugs, not that OP is essentially walking on eggshells all day everyday.

If she’s sleeping excessively that could be a medical issue, she should talk to her doctor about that

goodness gracious. do you have an RA? maybe you can explain the situation with them, because no one should be quiet all day. and ik what you’re going through because my roommate would sleep in until 1pm, and its frustrating af not having the freedom to do anything in your room bc of them sleeping

That’s 17 hours! Any possibility she’s up later than you? Just trying to rule everything out before I agree with 4

she rarely stays up later than me, ik when shes sleeping bc she snores and it always starts by midnight at the latest

She could have sleep apnea, that destroys your quality of sleep
