The issue with involving the cops is without any proof of sexual intention the roommate “didn’t do anything wrong”. Also depending on the age of consent laws in the area they can’t or won’t do anything about it. If OP can contact a responsible adult in the 17 yo’s life to at least warn them of what’s going that would be great but the legal side of this situation is a huge question mark because of the messed up laws surrounding minors and consent, hence why I said this is above YikYak’s pay

grade. I do agree that this is wrong and that something needs to be done but it’s hard to give truly helpful advice here. OP does need to separate themself as much as possible from their roommate and maybe send an anonymous tip to where the roommate works/volunteers if any of it involves kids.

For those downvoting, I say again that I agree that it is fucked up that the college age roommate tried to bring a minor back home. I am just pointing out that the legal system is equally fucked up in the sense that there’s any number of things that label this not a problem in a LEGAL sense, meaning the cops can’t do anything without additional proof. OP may have other options available to them but we as an anonymous app can’t provide that to them as we don’t know the location or circumstances
