can we normalize taking the food out of your dishes before you put them in the sink? or even doing the dishes before the sink is overflowing? and maybe even cleaning the sink and drain after you do the dishes so there isn’t just old food rotting in there?

My roommates do this they also leave their clothes in the washing machine/dryer for long periods of time and don’t take the trash out

my roommate will use all of her dishes and leave them dirty until she has nothing else to use, then she will finally clean them🤢

same my roommate is so inconsiderate when it comes to the shared spaces, i have to take my laundry to friends houses to do it bc she refuses to switch it over or take it out of the dryer 😔

Tbh I think I’d just take her stuff out and put it on a couch or something then proceed to do your laundry especially if it’s been a couple days/hours. You could say something along the lines of “I needed to do my laundry and you didn’t get yours when it was done 🤷🏼‍♀️. I pay $____ for the ______ (living space) too”

Ah, she can deal, it’s part of her consequence for not grabbing her dang clothes

That’s insane, I can’t imagine leaving my clean clothes lying around for forever, it’s definitely well within your right if she doesn’t get her clothes in close to a week past washing them 😭😭

A week is crazy me and my roommates have an agreement if they stay in there past a couple of hours and someone else needs to washing machine/dryer they are being moved

Now if no one needs the washing machine or dryer I have seen my roommates clothes sit in there for a few days but never a week

Frrrr I thankfully haven’t had that problem with my roommate but she does take forever to get her crap out of the dryer so it restarts over and over and over again
