you can try charging him but that doesn’t mean he’ll cooperate. is there anything that can be done to make sure you get your money back?

Charge him for destroying my couch cushions and allegedly losing my good (and only) knife and spoons (which were also mine). I would charge $60-$70. The couch was $50 and the spoons and knife adds up. No, he did not destroy the whole couch, but he deliberately ruined something that wasn’t his. This man is pushing 30. He should know better about respecting others things and should not destroy them. IMO he should face these consequences. I have other horror stories from this guy too.
