Do NOT say just a couple times a month and have him living w you the next. That happened to me. I now have a serious dislike for both of them. Stick to ur word, it’s worth more than you think for the privacy of your roomies 🙏🏼

i don’t mind UNLESS they’re really loud or constantly in the living room (cause then i can’t walk out in booty shorts in my own home)

As long as it is 1x a week or less imo and as long as you clear it with all roommates in advance and they're not just saying yes to be nice, like they're actually comfy with it, go for it! My roommates bf has a single so I'm so glad that whenever she wants to spend the night with him they can go to his dorm

As someone with 3 roommates who all had boyfriends, it was never an issue until it began to get in the way of my comfort and routine. 1 roommate would have her bf there every single day, he was constantly cooking in our kitchen without cleaning after himself, using our groceries, using our one shower, and on top of it they were really loud and obnoxious in the bedroom (small apartment thin walls)

My roommate has her bf over I would say frequently, it’s not a issue tho he’s a cool dude. He’ll either spend a night with her or she will go to him, he also goes to parties with us and sometimes join our drinking nights, my only issue is when they have date nights in the living room cause my room is the first floor and they will legit watch a movie on volume 30+ and be giggling all night (not hating just loud) other than that good stuff

as long as it doesn’t become more frequent than a couple times a month, yall keep things to a reasonable volume, and i can get a chance to meet him so it’s not just a strange man in my home, id be chill

As someone who had a roommate whose boyfriend basically moved into our dorm and would never leave to the point where I literally had to tell him he wasn’t allowed to come anymore im incredibly against it. But, I think on occasion is fine, especially since you guys have an apartment and therefore more room so they’re not stuck sharing the same space as him every time then it’s different. But just be respectful and have good communication and make sure he’s respectful to the space that isn’t his

See I don’t care but when it gets to it being every single day that he’s in my personal space and is eating our food, that’s when I lose my shit

Do you have your own bedroom or you share a bedroom with your roommate?

If everyone is paying rent I think it’s a stretch to say “you can only have your boyfriend over x times a month”. My two other roommates had boyfriends and they were very respectful about it. They would come over often to stay the night or hang out but I was always told in advance and they were never in my way. If they wanted to cook dinner together or use the common area they would ask if anyone else had plans to use our common area and were understanding if they couldn’t.

Just make sure you’re communicating with your roommates. As long as him being there isn’t impeding on their routine or comfort, then you’re fine! Just keep in mind as well that roommates also want to be comfortable in their own space without a man being there 24/7 which isn’t personal.

Oh then you should be fine, just make sure your bf knows any of the kitchen rules and doesn’t touch anyone else’s stuff and I think you’ll be ok, I’m about to move into a 3 bedroom dorm and 2 girls are in 1 room and 2 other girls in another room and then I’m alone in the 3rd room, I pay a little more money I think but I did this so I could bring whoever I want over
