BEING DIRECT IS NOT MANIPULATION, being direct means that all other previous conversations where we have disscused an issue, were ignored and/or brushed off you feel “attacked” because I got done being passive and now I’m being assertive.

This right here. I’m done playing the “when you get a chance” “no worries” cards. I’m done asking nicely or being empathetic. From now on, it’s a text or a direct statement. I’m not the mother or maid.
