Agree with 3 and I would think after the third or so time she pulls this you are entitled to at least a vague explanation of why she’s getting so many calls (appointments, job related, family related, etc).

i would not ask for an explanation. that's not op's business. just say no. if she presses the issue, don't argue. just tell her you have every right to stay, she has no right to kick you out, and she's welcome to rent a single if she wants to be entitled to on-demand privacy

I completely agree, I think OP having to leave a place they also pay for just because the other person wants privacy is in no way necessary. The person that wants privacy should leave if they feel it’s that important and especially that late in the evening.

I only suggested asking for an explanation in the sense of “if there’s something going on at home you need to make this many phone calls for, let me know and we can work out a way to get you privacy without kicking me out”. OP still needs to refuse to leave
