Not so much a rant as needing advice. My roommate is great, we get along great and live great. But I just find myself feeling bad about myself because of things she off handedly says a lot. Like she critiques my driving when I’m driving us around 1/?

Like the tonight I honked at someone cause they ran a red as I was driving through a geeen light and she said she didn’t like that. I thought she meant the other person but she said she didn’t like that I honked and said she didn’t believe in honking and just made me seem like a bad person cause I honk.

Like it just feels like you have to think exactly what she thinks or you’ll be told otherwise.

I’m not sure how to bring this up to her but want to, how should I do it?

tell her that if she doesnt like ur driving she can get a ride from someone else— you’re free to do what you believe in just as she is so she can either lay off or eff off

ngl that’s rlly stupid, honking is an important way to communicate with other drivers, it’s loud and alarming because it’s to alert in a moment’s notice not just for anger or whatever she believes in, her criticism makes her seem like she’s not grateful for you taking her places

No fr, some people don’t pay attention while driving. We were driving and the car next to us was on their phone migrating into our lane so honking helped grab their attention and correct it
