You would think student housing would have some sort of age limit, or at least not rent to nonstudents (assuming he’s not attending the university of course)

Students can be any age. Don’t assume someone isn’t a student just because they don’t look it. I had an older Asian man as a fellow student in a class once.

Yes that’s why I said I assumed he wasn’t a student. Still, you would think student housing wouldn’t throw a 40 year old man in with a bunch 18-22 year olds. That’s just asking for problems.
