I have a comment kinda like that. I lived with a girl that wanted the apartment to be stuck at 75 degrees heat during the fall and springtime during the night and that the thermostat had to be shut off during the day cause she felt she would sleep better at night like that. Meanwhile the rest of us were getting so hot in the apartment we wouldn’t put a blanket on us at night… needless to say we had to have a meeting about it and to also add her parents were paying her rent and utilities bill

depending on what date you live in, AC most definitely can be necessary to run 24/7. humid areas need it especially during peak hours of the day to prevent moisture and mold issues.

The place I live was built in the 20s with VERY little insulation, if we turn the ac off for 20 min our entire house is about 5° cooler than it is outside... which rn is 100°...

But I would sit down and have a talk with them cause I was able to do that with my roommate and we ended up agreeing with 72 with the A/C on so no heat and I brought her a heater from my parents house for her to use in her bedroom if she truly liked sleeping in a super hot room.
