part of me wants to stop cleaning to see how long it takes for my roommates to take initiative, but i also know i could not stand living in filth if it gets as bad as i think it would

Same. I’m the only one who cleans and when I ask them to keep the apartment clean they trash it within the next 24 hours.

considering doing the same. I always end up cleaning up the common areas and taking out the trash. I wonder if I stop using the big trash and take only mine out, how long will they let it sit there for.

literally. i try to clean once a week and they hardly ever ask if they can help. like if you see me cleaning, why not just start helping without having to ask

My whole thing is how do you not notice when you drop something. PICK IT UP. Especially when you are in the kitchen. Anytime I drop something when I’m cooking I clean it up almost immediately
