am i crazy to be a tiny bit annoyed that anytime something good happens to me, my roommate has to find somethin and announce something good in the same realm as me? every time, i don't even get a day to be happy b4 she announces something similar

Two thoughts. Either she’s doing it to share the joy and relate to you that she’s also got some good news (you know how people share things but sometimes the sharing is unwarranted). OR she feels inferior to you and insecure so she’s trying to make you feel bad. Don’t let her get you down!!

i'm not mad ab it but i feel like she should let me have a day to be happy first. most of the time she doesn't even seem interested in anything in the same area as me until after i say i got something good then suddenly she has something

Np!! I always try to give the benefit of the doubt, but I’m also dealing with a roommate I don’t get along with rn so I understand! Some people are so wrapped up in their own worlds. That’s why I stop sharing things/waisting breath with people I know won’t give me the same support I give them. I’m proud of you though!
