so many of you guys complain about your roommates but you are not communicating with them. communication is key. something may seem like common sense to you but not others. communicate please and dont let it get to the point where it becomes an argument

I fear it should be common sense to be considerate of others in your living space.

part of being considerate includes communicating your needs and not just assuming everyone could read your mind. a lot of the times someone wont even know they’re being inconsiderate. what you may think is common sense isn’t common sense for everyone learning to communicate your needs is a life skill. just assuming everyone u meet will know what u mean is also wrong.

it can also be really helpful to the person and could help them be a better person. no one grows without guidance. ive been in many situations where i annoyed roommates but didnt know i was being bad but after we talked about it it helped me grow. its also a lot better then just being yelled at for something i didnt know i was doing. i know not everyone is like me and will want to grow but not giving someone the chance to atleast change the behavior u dislike is not always the way to go.

allow for room for growth and if that fails then escalate the situation. but to just assume everyone is being bad to you on purpose is a bad mindset to have
