If you can hear it through the walls either the walls are very thin or they, like me, have an issue with their jaw clicking all the time. It happens even if i’m chewing with my mouth closed

To clarify i usually chew with my mouth closed but sometimes the clicking makes my jaw freeze in a position and i have to open my mouth and forcefully wiggle it for it to be fixed. Thats rare though

I don’t; i chew normal, and you guys take it too serious. How many thanksgivings have been ruining cause i’m sitting there eating with my mouth closed and my cousin still comes at me for chewing too loud. Like at that point, it’s a her problem. I’m tired of not enjoying my food.

Sounds like you got trauma ur projecting rather than being offended on what we are saying, we are talking about people who never learned manners and chew with their mouths wide open and smack their lips and such

Hey buddy I used to have this happen and it turned out it was a TMJ disorder, you should bring up your jaw problems to your dentist and they can refer you to a specialist

Huh that’s odd, if your jaw is locking while eating that’s a pretty big issue. Your jaw freezing is it literally locking in place that is not normal.

Even though that’s a rare occurrence for you your jaw locking to the point that you have to wiggle it free should NOT happen at all.

I mean its not like the totally dismissed it they sent me to the orthodontist to get refitted for retainers that i was supposed to be wearing bc they said that was the cause. Idk I kinda doubt thats the whole reason tho

That’s interesting that they thought it was a retainer issue. Maybe they were worried about a misalignment of your jaw. If it’s still bothering you the next time you have a dentist appointment please speak up and say the retainer refitting didn’t help. Clicking and jaw locking during eating is not normal.
