My roommate might genuinely hate me and i have no idea why. She’s not passive aggressive, but she never responds if i text her, and says a total of five words to me on a good day. What do I do? Am I being paranoid? I just wanted to make a friend

I mean if all they do is not talk much I don’t think that means they hate you. Maybe they’re busy or just keep to themself?

Yah but it still hurts when I make an effort and she barely acknowledges it. Plus i feel like i can’t really bring it up without sounding like attention seeker.

Maybe they just don’t vibe with you. It’s a hard lesson every time, but no matter where we go or who we meet, not everyone is going to be our friend. We can’t put expectations on others like that. Hopefully they warm up to you, but if they don’t there are plenty of other people in the world who I’m sure would be excited to hang out with you. Don’t paint them in a bad light unless they’re truly an asshole roommate, and don’t take it personally. You know you’re a friendly person so carry on 🫶

i'm ngl she might just be an introvert and not want to interact with the person she lives with bc it sets a precedent of being interacted with in her alone time more than she wants. i don't talk to my roommate much not bc i don't like him but just because i need a lot of time to myself
