Am I wrong to feel bothered when roommates contribute the bare minimum but expect everything to be shared equally? and I’m not talking about people who can’t afford it because this roommate definitely can, she just doesn’t want to for some reason? 🤔

Noooooo mine does the same thing. It’s gotten to the point where I only cook for myself because I can’t afford to feed 2 people 24/7 with no help. I’ve also started buying my own things and keeping them in my room to use when I need them and I only do my own dishes because it’s not my responsibility to be her mother.

I was dealing with that. I made us all go on group shopping trips and each one of us pays an equal amount for the things we buy for communal spaces. If they don't go they send us their share

Somehow, we have trash that needs to go out one to two times a week and this girl just puts big to go boxes empty containers that are really big just in the trash instead of taking them out separately and then she bought the smallest pack of trash bags she could find and they were cheap so they ripped too😭

I would just be upfront and tell her if she wants to put those boxes in the trash yall need a stronger trash bag or she needs to put them in a separate bag all together

I told her to just put them to the side instead and we would even take them out for her and she doesn’t 🤚🏻

Same with me, my roommate thought the big pack of chicken from Costco was for the two of us when it was only coming out of my check. When I told her I couldn’t do that anymore cause I couldn’t afford it. She got really passive aggressive, even though she makes more than I do and has an allowance from her parents.😭

Literally her grandparents pay for EVERYTHING but she can’t chip in for groceries or when we get drinks and stuff. Never get paid back.
