So my brother has this roommate who’s neglecting his dog to the point that he’s underweight so I’m trying to subtly hint that he calls someone to have the dog removed from his care.

My brother and I go to separate colleges hours apart so I can’t drop a lot of hints. Originally the plan was to have the dog sent back to live with the parents but apparently the parents are “whipped” as he put it and are letting their son decide what’s best for the dog.

Off campus house with no animal clauses as typically no pets are allowed. From my understanding an exception was made for this guy. I do know that because of this and several other things this guy has done that he will not be offered a lease renewal at the end of the semester. I do know the dog has visited a vet recently so I’m hoping they can do something if my brother or the other roommates won’t get involved. None of them want to get involved for fear of becoming responsible for said dog and

none of them have the time for one, hence why none of them have pets. I do know my brother and the others have been getting on him about pulling his weight including taking care of his dog so it’s not like nothing is being done, they just don’t seem to want to call anyone to take the dog away.

they cannot legally force them to own the animal. this dog will be starved and face lifelong complications or potentially go to a shelter. i get the fear but i rlly hope one of them steps up and calls :(.
