I tell her, not ask. I would not accept a no. I don’t usually have people hanging out in the common area tho! Only in my room. I that goes for me too though, she can tell me but she never has to Ask and I don’t tell her no either.

I used to ask my roommates if I could have guests over. They started saying no that I couldn’t have my guests over, even if it wasn’t in the share spaces, and they eventually stopped asking if they can bring guests. It seemed like everyone else was cool with their guest being there excluding me out of the fact they basically didn’t have to ask me for permission but I pretty much had to continue to ask for permission and be cool with it.
