it’s weird and creepy imo because why do you care so much…like it’s THEIR space too

If you care that much then you should’ve gotten a private dorm tbh

Ion blame the person in the room it’d just be annoying not being able to be alone ever

As someone who did often lurk in the dorm all the time, I struggle with friendships, even with my really close friends especially at the beginning of the year after coming back from summer, plus i have depression and just run out of battery. I know I’m in the room all the time, I’m sorry, but I paid to be here and I’m tired and my bed is here.

my thing is being in the dorm literally 25/8, like you only leave to go eat and you come right back to eat your food in the room. i never have alone time.

Ok but like what if your roommate that’s always in the room won’t let you sleep and constantly talks to you when you obviously want to be left alone

i think people only care when they don’t really like their roommate so they feel uncomfortable by them for some reason and wanna be able to be around nobody but have nothing to do about it but complain which is real

ok? they probably been in there 25/8 can they bed fucking breathe they don’t even have to go to a party and as someone who roommate never leaves it’s quite annoying especially because they wanna have all these rules for me but i haven’t opened my mouth to give you very unnecessary rules but as roommates you have to share we all paid stupid amounts and if they want to room to themselves for just a day they fucking can especially if u only leave for class nd to eat and come right tf back everyday.

Honestly both people pay for the space and both are entitled to time alone. Being introverted doesn’t automatically mean that you get to be taking up all the space in the dorm. And both parties should be comfortable. At the end of the day, both of them are grown adults and they need to work it out on their own. Whether you’re a party person or a homebody you deserve the space you paid for. All these situations are independent and good luck to everyone.

deadass it’s really not their fault that you don’t want them in their space. if they’re not bothering you tf does it matter ??

Did you know that people pay for their dorm during the day too? As long as it isn’t affecting their life in some major terrible way it isn’t bad. This is coming from someone who was forbidden by roommate to turn on the lights or open curtains everyday because my roommate was up partying all night and slept all day btw

I would’ve taken someone who just sits in the room any day of the week so I’d be able to get ready in the morning for class without a flashlight

Not everyone can afford everything here and that is the cheapest option

Yeah well everyone can try to not be unfair towards people who also pay for the room too so if you broke, don’t bitch This coming from a broke person who had to drop 10k on her first two semesters instead of buying a car because her parents don’t financially support her xx

alone time is not promised to you when you live with another person. maybe they enjoy being alone in the room? maybe they want to utilize the space they pay for? maybe they like their bed and their space?

you’re so close sweetie! we all paid ridiculous amounts to be here. if someone wants to go to class, eat, and sit in their room that they pay for, that is okay!!! if you want alone time in ur room that fucking bad, ask for it! it’s really not that difficult! my roommate and i do it all the time! she likes to have her boyf over without me and i like to have recharge days when im drained so we simply say “hey! do you mind giving me the room from [insert time] to [insert time]?”

I mean I get my alone time in library rooms/random places on campus there’s so many options It’s fine to take a sec to breathe in the dorms I mean it’s your space too, I just think there’s so many options that’s not the same tiny space here

girlll, i just made this point, im saying we shouldn’t have to fucking ask to be in a space alone. it should be a silent agreement at the end of the fucking day it’s a shared space don’t be hogging it, i’m only replying to yo goofy ass because it seems u want my attention, that’s so cute. if they are always in there don’t you think your roommate would want some alone time in there as well ? it doesn’t matter the time or day if yo funk city ass ain’t leave for even a small break get a single.

I get what you mean. As someone who likes their own personal space, I think people should’ve agreed to terms on personal space before this issue came up. It should be agreed that people want to have time to themselves. I know libraries exist and so do other public places but that’s just it, they’re public. I think the people complaining are the ones who simply want their own private space to fart in peace fr but hey, communication is key people don’t let it fester till you can’t take it anymore!
