Is it normal that I want my roomates to ask if it’s okay before they throw a party rather than them just saying “we’re having a party at our apartment”? It’s almost every weekend, and it’s birthday party’s for their friends, not even my direct roomates.

I probably would say yes if they asked, but I hate that they just tell me they’re planning it and don’t ask if it’s okay, like what if I’m sick or have an exam?

They also usually don’t invite me and are completely rude to me if I’m home during the party. The one other time I brought up this problem they said “didn’t know we needed permission to have people over” like small groups no but parties of 10+ people I thought it’s common sense to ask your roomates if it’s ok.
