Clean it off, sterilize it, and if you can disassemble it and hide the small pieces. If you are schizo level paranoid you can also set up a tamper indicator such as placing a hair on one of the necessary parts.

I can’t tell if you are saying that you are using it wrong or that OP is. Maybe we aren’t talked about the same thing if it is the latter because I own a water pik and it definitely goes in my mouth. You can look it up. What I am talking about is a water flosser. The brand name is water pik. It flosses your teeth with high pressure water.

Yes, but the flosser itself isnt supposed to touch the teeth. The water does that for you.
