No but I was the napping roommate (I have a sleep phase disorder but also literally never cared about how much noise or light you made during the day, wake my ass up I don’t care)

Yup. But does it affect me? No. Good on them for caring about their sleep than I can atm.

You dont have to share that with anyone but that would be pretty important information for someone who lives with you. Esp if you’re expecting them to not disturb your midday sleep

I mean.. it’s not really important for them to know it’s none of their business.. I’m just they do things that equally annoy them

It is important if you’re expecting accommodation. There’s a reason they’re always called reasonable. But again this all depends on your expectations of them while you’re asleep and if you’re like me and don’t care it’s fine. But if you’re a raging ass about it then you kinda gotta tell them why if you want that, yaknow?

I mean, it doesn’t seem like the other roommate has a problem… it’s not that hard to communicate with your roommate instead of posting on yikyak “hey I noticed you tend to take naps often throughout the day, do u mind if I make a bit of noise such as watching tv or tiktoks or even making myself food” it’s honestly not hard to be a decent roommate and communicate. If they tell you to be quiet you can talk to your RA. But expect someone to disclose medical information to you bc they nap is weird

Well that’s what I’m saying, as long as everyone is being reasonable and respectful there’s no reason to bring it up. But if you’re constantly expecting complete silence for midday naps, which is unreasonable, they do deserve to know why. And personally, I want the people living with me to be aware and educated about my disabilities bc 1- I enjoy educating people and 2- god forbid a medical emergency happens and I need care they know what to do But I also use mobility aids sometimes so 😅
