Wake up, call from a friend instead of a stranger. She’s obviously cared enough about you to talk to you about it. And I’m sure she’s been wanting to for a long time and cared so much about your feelings that it probably hurt her to bring it up. Unless you did it like a straight asshole, of course. Then that’s just mean. But if it’s only been a couple years, you can do something about it now.
