10 is a normal time to do laundry, why are you sleeping in that late…

I mean not to be a pain in the ass, but isn’t it kind of expected that you probably have a class at 8,10, or 12

My roommates do their laundry at midnight so I get to hear clanging zippers in the dryer around 2 am for an hour

Ok that’s one thing but what about taking a zoom call at 9:30 am with no earbuds in talking with your teacher about how you might fail the class cuz you haven’t been showing up enough, while your roommate is CLEARLY trying to sleep!!!???? And then her computer died during the meeting so she was scrambling trying to grab the charger and I’m just like for the love of god why couldn’t you have done this in the living room????!!!!😭😭😭😭

Little do they know it’s your first time doing that and you were just trying to impress them uwu

Imagine them doing it at normal hours, then letting it sit all day to all week, then folding it at 1 am on the worst night for you

Dude I once went to bed at 10 pm and my roommate WAKES ME UP by yelling coming into the room “dude, are you going to bed now? It’s so early” it legit pissed me off so much. Mind you this was in a college dorm so we share the same sleeping area

Honestly if you have a longer gap between classes why wouldn’t you take advantage of that?

My roommate likes to sleep until 1pm and expects the world to adhere to that schedule. 🙄

I mean maybe they wanted to throw it in before a class to come back and switch it after it’s not unreasonable to do laundry early in the day even when you have classes

Like they start it at 10?! That’s crazy. I would never start a load later than 8 so it can be done by 9:30

Because the washer and dryer can be loud.

i mean yeah i probably would start it around 12a-6a or so but.. 10a is totally normal and it can’t be THAT loud right😭

Our washing machine makes a faint whirring sound even though it’s in its own room and the walls in our apt are thin, so she was upset that it woke her up, but 10am on a weekday isn’t early. I’d understand if I did it at 7 or something but as far as I’m concerned, if it’s within the hours of a regular 9-5, you really shouldn’t be complaining about regular levels of noise.

Yes they start it at 10 and our washer dryer takes foreverrrr and is loud af

Nah that’s crazy. IMO, laundry should only be started between 9am and 8pm unless something needs to be cleaned immediately bc something spilled on it or whatever

Yea there’s just no common sense anymore it’s irritating. Now I’m just hoping my room isn’t by the washer dryer next year

I think so she’s always up late, and making so much noise at night

that’s pretty light work, some people have activities that end at 8 or past 8. I get home at 8:30 and can’t start laundry on weekdays til that time. It’s not unreasonable

No it’s just inconsiderate, I go to sleep early and wake up early and you won’t catch me doing my laundry at 6am bc I can

it’s not about doing it because you can it’s about matching it to when you’re free in your schedule. I can’t speak as to what dorm you’re in but why do you give a shit anyways? my roommate can do it at 2 am for all i care. I’m gonna be sleeping it’s not like he needs my help

Why wouldn’t I give a shit? That’s wonderful that you don’t care but my room is right next to the washer/dryer and it’s loud af. Ofc everyone has a different schedule but it’s common sense to be considerate of the other people you live with end of story.

my previous roommate situations all agreed to do laundry midday because it was loud asf. this is the only one where it's different and it's cuz the only person affected sleeps through anything
