Contact housing and say you’re allergic to their pet and hope they can switch you to a different room

ik it’s different for each uni but people with esas get singles do they not? so that somebody else doesn’t have to also pretty much be responsible for an animal? like ik where i go if you have an esa you need a single dorm. contact housing and try to get them to switch you around.

At my school, we’re allowed pets in one dorm if you fill out paperwork and it’s a double, same for if you have an esa and service dog, the only exception is if you fill out the paperwork for a medical single, an animal does not except you from a double, that’s a different set of paperwork

yeah, like i said everywhere is different. at my university they consider service animals and esas medical devices/care. usually those warrant you a single room.

I agree with this, they have to honor both of yall but the only issue is that they might ask for a doctors note

Ok I did that last the day after I posted this and they said I would be out on the room change list. I move in on the 15th and haven’t heard back a little nervous

Check your housing form, I had to move rooms because they only allow one esa to a room and me and my former roommate both were signing up for it and we didn’t want one of us to lose ours, so we moved rooms but didn’t hear back, we just checked the housing page and saw the updated thing

I have checked, but they haven’t changed it, but I also requested an early move-in so maybe they’re just going to move my Roommate and not me
