just be honest about it! if you feel guilty you could say you had a friend who desperately needed a new roommate and you offered . Last year my roomie did not tell me anything about her not dorming with me again and it screwed me in getting a room. so def do it sooner than later lol

i agree with #1. and you should prolly tell her soon since its gettin to the tume of year esp in college where yall gotta start locking down housing for next year. do yall have suit mates or is it just the 2 of u??
