my roommate keeps lecturing me on Christianity every time I come home late. I haven't even been partying just out with friends god forbid I don't stay home praying to Jesus every day

Honestly that’s crazy every time you come back late but maybe they are worried about you. Partying is always fun but there’s a point where we won’t be partying anymore and just being basic adults. There’s definitely a path that partying and doing drugs can ruin your life. You aren’t out partying or doing anything bad but if they don’t know that. I think they just want you to choose a better path and be happy. I think they just want the best for you. You can still be religious and enjoy life.

Religion is for what happens after your life. You’ve probably heard this a million times and you’re like oh god another christian. But It’s your choice where you want to go after your death. It sounds cheesy and fake until you die and you figure out that it’s real. I may be wrong about god and believing in a heaven but I’d sure as heck be glad I believed it if there is a heaven and hell. Then if I didn’t and got sent to hell for the rest of eternity. Just think about it.

Please stop treating a person’s disinterest in religion as an attack of your faith. The roommate can have all the good intentions in the world but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. All OP wants is to be able to come home without being lectured on their choice of social life. This type of harassment has driven more people from Christianity than it has drawn them towards it.
