Is it crazy to think that everyone should put their own dishes in the dishwasher. Emptying it can be a shared chore but I’m honestly just not gonna deal with your dirty dishes

Nah - my roommates and I do load your own stuff and take turns emptying. No one should be responsible for loading other peoples dishes

you’re right 100%. if the dishwasher is clean you unload it when you see it but I’m not loading dishes that aren’t mine. every now and again if there are only a few dishes that aren’t mine i will but I ain’t dealing with a mess of a full sink that I had no part in creating

me and my roommates agreed that we prefer to hand wash our dishes…so i only wash and dry what i use and leave their plates to mf rot in the sink

Yes exactly, I’ll do a couple small things for other ppl but if the sink is full of stuff that’s not mine I’m not touching it

even communication here is key. if someone were to tell me they’re having a tough week I will help pic up some of the slack but I expect that I return if I come upon a tough time. I think this comes with a conversation of expectations when you begin living together though
