so let me get this straight. they asked me if everything was okay. i answered honestly. now i’m the bad guy for having problems because how dare i have problems when they have problems too (which i have sat and listened to and empathized with for years)

I one time had an artist as a roommate. They asked me to comment on their painting about what I think it needs I told them what I thought I got a text from them the next day saying they went to therapy and they think I need to be more considerate

I would always keep my stuff to myself but a couple times I leaked that I had a hard exam coming up or smth and he would immediately try to outdo every problem I ever had

Dude, I literally just went through this for 8 months and when I stopped talking about issues they also got mad. In both situations there favorite words was childish and immature.

I think they need to grow up and learn to take criticism. Needing therapy after getting a honest opinion is absurd

that’s just about what happens to me with these friends. something bad happened to me? something worse happened to them. something good happened to me? something better happened to them or they have some judgment or criticism to bring me back down to their level. i can never say anything right around them 😭

If they have to go to therapy after every honest review their therapist is going to be rich
