My roommate is a complete narcissist. Plays the victim, every convo becomes about him, never takes accountability, and lacks empathy. He seems to hate all of us. Why did he sign the lease for next year

Don’t sign it if you haven’t already. He only signed it because narcissists hate losing control so he wants to rule over you as long as possible.

True one of the people owns the house… so that’s why they can’t leave

Why was an offer given then? Look into your local tenet laws there may be a way to evict him without legal issues. I think you can sell the house still but I understand how that might not be an option.
