My RA told me the rule is if the clothes are there unattended for 15 minutes you can take them out. So when you see them, set a 15 minute timer and if they’re not back, throw that shit out

My roommate used to leave wet clothes in the dryer while being gone for days 😭😭 (we’re good now but it was so frustrating)

My roommates and I just got an extra laundry bag and if we need to empty the washing machine of someone’s unattended clothes then we put it in the bag, wouldn’t work on a larger scale but for in-unit laundry it works well Also this is why I do laundry in the middle of the night lol

With my roommates I would text first. You got 30 minutes to respond and give an eta on when you’re getting your shit and if you don’t it’s going in the basket or in a bag wet or dry. I stopped giving a fuck when it became a regular thing for my 3 roommates to hog the one washer we all shared.
