I hate my roommate. She doesn’t have class til 3 so she sits in the room all day doing NOTHING. She goes to bed at like 10pm and wakes up at 8am even though she does NOTHING. I never have alone time and if I ask “it’s my room you can’t tell me to leave”

I would definitely encourage you to talk to your RA about this. I find it quite ridiculous that a resident assistant would have to explain to a grown adult why they have to give their roommate some alone time and space, but unfortunately, it looks like that’s what’s gonna have to to happen. If they dismiss you, go to the housing department and tell them about your problem, how long it’s been going on, and that your RA is not doing anything to help you. 1/2

Please for the love of God let’s use our brains. She likely lies in bed and plays on her phone or watches tv until it’s time for her to go to class. That’s typically what people mean when they say doing nothing.

2/2 They may be able to get you a room change if you complain enough. This is coming from someone who is now a junior and lives off campus in an apartment. I have had the trademark crazy dorm roommate. I am also an A-class complainer. I can promise you that becoming an A-class complainer will help you get your way. Good luck!
