Been there. It took me telling them that the smell travelled through the vents and into my room before it stopped. Literally offered to buy them an air purifier

from someone that smokes, it’s extremely inconsiderate and also irresponsible especially coming from a legal state into a place that’s extremely illegal, but towel under ur door and an air purifier, take a paper towel and drop a few drops of essential oil on it and wipe the top of the air purifier/ any fans you have. also a candle warmer instead of lighting them makes the smell of the candle x10000

yeah my university borders ohio where it’s legal, but it’s not legal in my state. but ofc people bring it with them. idc what people do in their free time but when it starts affecting other people it needs to stop. esp when we allow emotional support animals in the dorms that can get seriously sick from the fumes, like cats. i’ve been putting a towel at my door (sometimes a damp towel i used after a shower) and sometimes spraying my doorframe with febreeze

i used to have to report it to campus police bc one person who lived across the hall smoked all day every day and it made me sick. thankfully that person got caught and kicked out. now whenever the smell arises someone else reports it thankfully
