You could say you already made plans to live at home or with someone else (partner or friend) etc or maybe just say you were planning on living alone and that you seriously want to do that. Idk your exact situation but maybe these would work!

Yeah just say you have other plans. You don’t owe them an explanation. You’re not bound to them financially or by contract once this lease ends.
