Idk if people have their SO over like *all* the time, there are other places they can be. Like this is my house, and I want to be comfortable in my own home without a man coming and being all up in my space. Even if I wasn’t sharing a bedroom with my roommate. I wouldn’t be like super upset, but I would be irritated.
I share the same dorm as my roommate and it’s soooo uncomfortable and weird knowing that they can just see me. I know you mentioned that you get an instance of being in a dorm but I just have a problem with it because it’s annoying having them talking and keeping the lights on at 3am when I’m trying to sleep 💔
I’ve seen stories where the SO did impact other bills because they would mess with the thermostat (which I never get why people who are guests in other people’s houses touch that without at least informing the owners/tenants) or causing extra charges on the WiFi bill because they blew through the data cap (which can be a real thing depending on the plan). It can also be a behavioral thing like the roommate and SO make the person feel like a guest in their own house.
