depends on if posting was their first move or if they talked to you about it before AND if youre setting it 68 or if the ac/heat is just broken. 68 is def cold to me but they should just talk to you if they think youre setting it too low; if its broken (or they think its broken) then it prob wasnt intended as a dig
76 is def crazy even for me and im from the south and like to be a little warm. before posting, i would go to them super concerned and ask if theyre experiencing med side effects or something bc wanting it to be 76 is genuinely wild. only reasonable explanation is ac cost and even then, if its hot out and theyre tight on money they should explain that to yall
I do think it’s just family differences cause my dad keeps it really low so I’m used to sleeping in cold and one of my other roommate told me that her parents keep it high. But I’m more upset that I’ve asked multiple times and told them it’s too hot but they don’t listen and turn around and post when I turned it down like I’m being unreasonable.
yeah i think w/ this context them posting it like that is p undeniably rude. id say a discussion w/ all of yall is prob best to kind of establish a baseline of what temps ppl feel best at, what compromises could be made (ex if 76 degree roommate wears shorts and tank tops all the time then maybe a jacket would help, if anybody is like me and has to be cold to sleep then a fan or lowering the temp after a certain time at night may help), etc and so on
