3) ALSO, they made a comment about how they don’t want the new roomies parents to call them bitching over “the state of the apartment.” why are they involved??? we are ADULTS. mind you again, ITS LIVED IN. NOT MESSY. this shit pisses me off so much and it genuinely felt like a humiliation ritual. now they want it deep cleaned and decluttered by 4pm tomorrow. (i have the fuckin flu.)

2) college style apartments. so we rent our rooms. well one of the rooms is empty and someone is set to move in on the 5th. landlord basically lectured me about how we need to clean the apartment, this is unacceptable, and bla bla bla. again, it’s not messy. it’s not dirty. it’s lived in. three other people live here right now, plus an animal. do they expect everything to be empty??? i’m sorry i’m not going out of my way to move everything to my room so the common areas empty for the new girl

Check your local tenant laws and send the landlord an email detailing the whole incident for documentation. Make sure to point out everything they did that wasn’t legal.
