So any of you as an RA have things (electric pot, toaster, air fryer etc) in your room that is prohibited in the dorm? I know RAs who cook in their room and the superiors know about it cuz they’re close but I was wondering if they hide it for room checks!

I do, and honestly, my college dorms are extremely chill, no one cares whatsoever

I had one of those storage ottomans for my wax warmer, I put it up basically any time I’m not in my room or if I know we have room checks coming up.

i had a secret candle! and i used my rice maker in the room a couple times. as long as you unplug and put things away, it’s alright. and flames/unapproved electronics should really be monitored anyway 😭

Multiple candles that were just tucked in a drawer whenever they needed to not be seen. Residence life at my university can’t open drawers/fridges or go through your stuff, it has to be out in the open

Yep!! Just kinda put it away. I had a fellow RA who constructed a box out of old ramen boxes to put on top of her air fryer and hid it perfectly!!

at my school as long as it’s not plugged in in your room it’s fine, cause students can use them in the kitchen, so if it’s plugged in it shows they were using it in their room… idk if that could work at yours
