I go to a big sports school. Saying we should be paid the same is unrealistic. Look at the dining services department. They are more valuable to the function of the university than RAs but get paid minimum wage. You also have to look at the financial pool that they draw from. Athletics have a bigger budget than the Resident Hall Association or Dining Services. So of course they will be paid more

Also where I go to school has some great benefits for RAs compared to other universities so that’s also y I am content

Umm why wouldn’t they 😭. If they play well, they are profitable to the university. We are just employed at the expense of the university

Without RAs, where would the university be with the student body. They don’t want to do our jobs, and they treat us like we don’t sacrifice for this job. If we’re employed, we should get paid just like other employees.
