Resident Assistants (RAs) on Sidechat | Came on to here wondering if I could find validation. This year has been awful. Most of the residents are unsocialized or mean, others are truly independent and don’t respond to me. Not to mention my school has alr had 3 students attempt. It’s so bad.

has this year been terrible on any other campuses?! it feels like new students are ruder & meaner every year. my building has already had multiple incidents this year involving residents slandering us to on-call CDs to try to get out of trouble

I will say the same. It hasn't been bad (I'm trying to refrain because it's only been a month and a half since school started), but it's definitely not gonna be my year. The only thing going well for me is my coworkers/team, but my residents genuinely get on my nerves and make me feel so much more isolated 😭 I miss my friendly residents fr

No you’re so right. They expect everything all the time and have no consideration that you are also a student and person
