If my parents conceived on a different day I wouldn’t exist. And I would never know

she quite literally would’ve never existed. there’s no conscious for her to die from, there is quite literally no change at all. instead, her mother got traumatized by rape and gets to carry that with her every single day for the rest of her life

Her mother was already traumatized by the rape having a baby wouldn’t erase that trauma

i’m saying the entire argument is a strawman. she’s stating she would’ve “died” if it weren’t for the law, but the law instead forced a mother to give birth to her rape child. idc if she “changed her mind” later it’s still abhorrent. like forcing women to give birth is the most dystopian fucked up thing i can possibly imagine. real life murder is less fucked than that

Why

Because it would be a different sperm and therefore a completely different person. I would not exist, someone else would in my place

It’s honestly unrelated to the topic at hand. Like we’re talking about babies that have already been conceived and you’re trying to make a point about but it it happened yesterday or tomorrow it wouldn’t have been me! Like so?

No, it’s precisely addressing the point she was trying use here. She was saying she wouldn’t exist if her mom had aborted her. She also wouldn’t have existed if a million other things happened differently. Now if you’re talking about whether a zygote is a person, that’s a completely different point to argue on

No because one is a coincidence of time or place and the other is a specific thought out act of killing and removing a baby.

What she’s doing is making an emotional connection to the woman in front of her to make her understand exactly what it means to abort a child.
