It was still a non congressional approved military operation. If he does it with no pushback it’ll let every future president do it too, including Dems in any way they want to. You can like the outcome while still admitting it was done wrong. It wasn’t our job to do this, and it wasn’t within trump’s power to order this without congress. Even if removing an illegal dictator was the outcome
i dunno, i think there's enough cause for it to be classified as self-defense. biden wanted to do it, he just didn't have the cajones. it's up to the UN right now to decide what they want to do against the USA, which at most, would likely be sanctions, if they decide it was in fact a violation of IL. i think it's funny how *some* libs are defending maduro while they just had a no kings protest two days ago. i don't like how indoctrinated people are, on either side.
at the end of the day, radical leftists don't want to acknowledge anything good trump does, and radical right wingers don't want to acknowledge anything bad trump does. it doesn't help when people on either side are incredibly condescending, which i see a lot of people on the left doing (more frequently than those on the right).
i understand. i do think a large part of the reason behind what he did is because we don't want our foreign adversaries to have control over venezuela's oil (i.e., china, russia, the middle east), because they were heading towards major negotiations. the night before/of, maduro was to meet with chinese leaders concerning a deal. that's concerning... thankfully, china is still waiting.
