One thing I did was in my notes app add quotes from my partner that made me happy/blush so I can look at it when I miss them

i used to have my guy on my ipad facetiming while i was doing homework and he was gaming and we would occasionally chat or say something like being on the phone. it helped even tho he wasn’t in the room his presence still was

I think patience is very important and obviously communication. Be intentional with your calls don’t let it become something to cross off your to do list.

Tried it twice, if it’s short term, say 90 days it can work but much longer and it’s very rough. You can’t both be available at same times for time difference, same with work schedules, then one feels like they’re being ignored, creates false insecurities, so I hope that helps

ok the difference is a to-do call is "i called them, box checked, now i can do the other stuff" an intentional call is you actually being there, asking about their day and listening to the answer, remembering the project they mentioned, letting the conversation go wherever it goes instead of rushing to the end

Thank you! We try to call every moment we can and it’s always hours on end and always hate when we have to end the call

I’d just suggest you be prepared for it to not work after another 4-6 weeks. What are the plans for holidays? That’s usually a tough one but hey do your best and be happy you deserve to be

I mean we’ve discussed it and thinking about how to make it work. Holiday time I’m not home I’m traveling, I always book trips in April May for Christmas so I was never gonna be around anyways. Thanksgiving I’m also on a trip. She’s gonna come to my place for a week during Christmas
