You’re not cooked, your next move and response has to be thought out. Obviously I’m sure you don’t want to start an argument, you want a solid honest answer. Which calls for a sit down discussion. Express your discomfort, if he’s not doing anything wrong I’m sure he will properly reassure you. Don’t react or speak through emotions, it won’t help anyone involved in the situation. Not sure how your dynamic is either so it’s hard to really give a full opinion.
If he tries to make you feel like you’re crazy don’t react negatively in anyway. No yelling, aggression, cursing etc. Always deescalate I promise in the end it feels better that you don’t let yourself get out of your body for ANYONE. At that point you gotta let him go, a real man will reassure you that he respects you and your relationship. Not manipulating you into thinking you’re tripping, it’s normal to feel odd feelings towards things like that.
I get that a lot of people in relationships hate confrontation/conversations about this. They start to feel as though you don’t trust them or the relationship, then they use that against you. “How could you not trust me? That’s not cool..” BS.. Any real loyal person would never be upset about reassuring the people they love. Family, friends, partners. It doesn’t matter. Get that reassurance, if it goes south leave.
